Filter materials are needed in aquarium fish breeding becouse tanks where we feed our fish are to small (due to natural open tanks) and do not have possibilty to clarify water in natural way. There is to many nitrates and other water pollutions biological and mechanical. That is why we have to use filter pomps and special filter materials if we want to ensure best water conditions at our tanks.
